ESPN on Xbox

Big Park (Microsoft)

Overview

The ESPN app was one of the first streaming video content services apps that our studio had worked on. The goal being to bring all of the ESPN video content and channels to the Xbox in an easily digestible and interactive manner.

I was part of the team that worked on designing and building out the user interface and experience of the ESPN app, and the many iterations and improvements throughout the years.

2011 Experience

This was the first incarnation of the ESPN app built at our studio, allowing for a customizable channel guide of content that's tailor made for you with your favorite sports and content.

2012 Experience

For this release, we had been working to align the streaming sports experiences that our studio had created. Adopting the tiled grid interface that we used previously for the NHL Gamecenter app and the NBA app.

2013 Experience

The ESPN app received an overhaul for the launch of the Xbox One, taking on the similar experience that we introduced to the NFL on Xbox app.
